Open USD: A New Stablecoin Standard

Open USD (OUSD) launched on September 30, 2026, across Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tempo. Introduced by Open Standard, the token is issued through Bridge, Stripe's stablecoin infrastructure company. Reserves are held with BlackRock, Lead Bank, and BNY, with public reserve attestations.

OUSD is unique because it shares reserve income with participating businesses based on their volume and circulation. Open Standard also plans to distribute most of its equity to partners over time. Founding partners (including Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa) have committed over $1 billion in OUSD liquidity, joining a network of more than 200 companies.

Tempo has supported OUSD natively since launch, which fits the network's focus on enterprise stablecoin flows and onchain payments. Chainlink supplies OUSD price feeds, which are essential for lending markets to value collateral and trigger liquidations.

Lending Infrastructure for OUSD on Tempo

With growing OUSD balances on Tempo, holders require a transparent mechanism to earn yield.

The OUSD vault represents the second deployment under Sentora's partnership with Tempo, following the pathUSD vault launched in May. It applies the same core model: curated vault infrastructure paired with active risk management on Morpho's open credit network.

The OUSD Vault

Users deposit OUSD into the vault. The vault lends that capital into an underlying Morpho Blue market, where borrowers post cbBTC as collateral.

Because the market is fully isolated, risk remains tightly contained rather than spreading across other collateral types or lending pools. Sentora curates the vault and directly sets its deployment parameters to ensure optimal stability.

The market launches with conservative risk parameters:

  • Loan asset: OUSD

  • Collateral: [cbBTC]

  • LLTV: [86%]

  • Oracles: [Chainlink and RedStone]

Risk Mitigation

Sentora curates vaults using a risk framework with seven categories: technical, concentration, liquidity, interest rate, duration, leverage and correlation risk.

Every deployment is assessed against these categories before capital goes in. After that, it is monitored continuously through Risk Radar, Sentora's in-house risk management system.

Considerations

The vault holds onchain positions and carries the risks of the protocols and assets involved, including smart contract risk, market risk, oracle risk and liquidity risk at the point of withdrawal.
