Each event is catalogued by protocol type, attack surface, attack vector, audit status, and recovery outcome. The dataset is maintained by Sentora Research and refreshed on a quarterly basis. The objective is to give analysts, allocators, and protocol teams a structured view of where capital is lost in DeFi, how the loss profile is evolving, and which categories of risk are most active. The sections below focus on interpretation of the patterns visible in the charts.
